TENTH WINNER FOR FIRST SAMURAI

ADMIRAL PERRY, who was runner-up at Saratoga to likely 2-year-old champion Uncle Mo, gave Freshman Sire FIRST SAMURAI his 10th winner with his maiden special victory at Philadelphia Park.

Racing five wide into the stretch, ADMIRAL PERRY gained the lead in upper stretch and pulled away from the field to score by 2 1/4 lengths in his third career start in this six-furlong contest.

ADMIRAL PERRY is a homebred for Stuart S. Janney III and is trained by Shug McGaughey. He is out of the Gone West mare Western Humor who is a half-sister to G1 SW and sire Coronado’s Quest.
