It’s a quartet for ANNAPOLIS at this weekend’s Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Yearlings Sale in Saratoga with two offerings on each day of the two-session sale taking place on August 16 and 17.
The first through the ring is Hip 303 offered by Turning Point Bloodstock and bred by TLC Thoroughbreds.
This is the second foal out of five-time winner Dance And Dance, whose dam is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Magnificent Song. Dance And Dance is one of five winners from five runners out of Rhythm and Rhyme, whose others include seven-time winner No Hiding Place.
A placed mare, Rhythm and Rhyme is a sibling to 10 winners with her other siblings including the Grade 3-placed trio of Great Barrier Reef, Galileo’s Song, and Park Avenue and the stakes placed Queen Daenerys. Magnificent Song produced the stakes placed Declared while Galileo’s Song is the dam of stakes winner Aurora X and stakes placed Beyond the Father.
Another one of rhythm and Rhyme’s half-sisters is Rote, who not only produced two graded stakes performers but is also the granddam of Grade 1 winner Clicquot. Also a Virginia certified yearling, the filly has 31 stakes performers on the page.
ANNAPOLIS’s second through the ring is Hip 378 out of multiple stakes placed Jazz Lady.
The colt is offered by Four Star Sales after being purchased by Hot Gat for $130,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Fall Mixed Sale from Tom McCrocklin. His dam is a granddaughter of the stakes placed Coffee Springs, who produced the Grade 3-placed Pine For Java and the dams of stakes winner Kind of Magic and stakes placed Great Discovery.
Each of the four dams on this page have either earned blacktype or produced blacktype earners with Coffee Springs doing both. The page also includes Grade 3 winner Natural Nine, stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Nakano, and stakes winner Blaze Away N Hide.
ANNAPOLIS’s first through the ring during the second session comes nearly 100 hips in when Gainesway offers Hip 496.
The A1A Racing-bred is out of 10-time winning Seven Dreams, who has found success with another WAR FRONT son in Peace and Justice. That stallion is the sire of her stakes winner Capo, who won his sixth race after the catalog came out, and of her 15-time winner Summary Judgement with the mare having three winners from three to race.
Seven Dreams is out of the stakes placed Seven Choice and is a half-sister to the stakes winning Cocktail Attire. That sister is also a stakes producer as the dam of the Group 1 winner Catch the Cocktail and Group 2-placed Super Cocktail. Every dam on this page and beyond has produced at least one stakes winner with Seventh Choice a half-sister to two stakes winners (those runners winning 13 and 9 races apiece).
Their dam Personal Choice is a half-sister to four stakes winners and one other stakes performer with horses named under her sisters including champions Azarenka and Yakousa and Grade 1 winners Kane Hekili and Grade 2 winner Duke of Mischief among many others.
Seven Dreams produced another colt by ANNAPOLIS on March 11.
The final of this quartet is Hip 602 offered by Hidden Brook.
Bred by Mashnee Stables, the colt is the second out of Creative Cause mare Cape Cod Causeway with the mare seeing her first foal sell for $80,000 here last year. Cape Cod Causeway is a half-sister to five winners with her dam producing New York Oaks winner Lottie Margaret and the stakes placed Mashnee Girl – that one by a champion WAR FRONT son. Cape Code Causeway’s granddam is the Group 2 winner Roshani, who won seven races overall.
All but one of Cape Cod Causeway’s first seven dams have all produced stakes horses with six producing stakes winners and the only one not to produce one a Grade 2 winner who has seen her daughters produce multiple stakes performers.
