BLAME’s REDSTART and RACHEL WALL Becomes Newest Stakes Winner and Stakes Horse From First Crop

REDSTART became BLAME’s newest stakes winner from his first crop with a 4 1/2-length win in the Norm Barron Queen City Oaks. The 3-year-old filly took control on the far turn and drew off through the stretch going 1 1/8 miles at Belterra Park. REDSTART was coming out of placing in a Maiden Special Weight at Churchill in mid-June, her first start of the season and only second career start. Bred by Brad Buchholz out of the Carson City mare Absolute Nectar, REDSTART is trained by William B. Bradley for owner Gunpowder Farms LLC.

RACHEL WALL nearly wired the field but was runner-up in a tight photo finish in the Little Silver S. (1st Div.) at Monmouth Park. Going 1 1/16 miles on the turf, the 3-year-old filly set the paced from the outset with no more than a 1/2 length lead throughout. Challenged through the stretch, RACHEL WALL put in a very game effort down the lane and finished just a nose off the win. She was coming off a 10-length win in an off-the-turf allowance race at Delaware Park.
