RUNHAPPY is in the midst of another stellar year and that carried over to the OBS March Sale of 2-Year-Olds sales ring on Tuesday when his colt out of Annihilation sold for $370,000 to Crystal and David Watts.
Consigned by Randy Miles, the colt was bred by Martha Bucker in Kentucky and was making his second appearance through the ring. Breezing in :20.3, the colt is also a full brother to RUNHAPPY’s winning Wow Run. Their dam Annihilation is a multiple stakes winner herself and is both a half-sister to a stakes winner and a daughter of a stakes placed runner.
The family also includes Group 3 winner Hot Thong, and stakes winning Leon Drop Gal and Ninotchka among others.
FLATTER only had one representative at OBS this week but that was all he needed to make waves when Two Dolla Coffee purchased his son for $250,000 after the colt breezed in :10.0.
Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, the colt received an update when his half-sister Super Game finished third in a stakes in late February. Super Game is one of two stakes performers out of their dam Belvedera, who is also the dam of the UAE Derby (G2) winner Plus Que Parfait.
Belvedera herself is a half-sister to two stakes performers out of the Grade 3 winning mare Forever Land, who produced seven winners from nine to race.
