WAR OF WILL Juvenile Dominant at Colonial

It was another winner for WAR OF WILL on Thursday when Curahee impressed in a Colonial Downs Maiden Special Weight.

Racing over 5 ½ furlongs on the turf, the juvenile pressed the leader for much of the race from his outside position as the race favorite. Done playing by the time the field reached the stretch, he stuck his head in front and there was no stopping him from there.

The gelding won by six lengths in the end with the third placed runner 10 ¼ lengths back.

Trained by Brittany Russell for DARRS, the Lothenbach Stables-bred is out of BLAME’s Blameitonthemusic.

That mare is a half-sister to the Grade 3 winner She Can’t Sing and out of a half-sister to the Grade 3-placed Zinzay. Zinzay produced the stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Moon Over Miami. Also on this page under fourth dam Note Musicale are Grade 1 winners Music Note, Mystic Guide, and Musical Chimes.

This is the fourth winner for WAR OF WILL, who leads all freshmen with his two stakes performers this year as well.
