Led by hip 98 at Keeneland September, the filly consigned by Stone Farm is a full sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Air Force Blue. Also, her second dam is a full-sister to champion filly Flanders. She was purchased for $1,050,000 by agent Mike Ryan, WAR FRONT‘s 27th million dollar yearling to date.
The hammer dropped at $625,000 for hip 248 at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase, a bay daughter by WAR FRONT out of the multiple graded stakes-placed Miss Chatelaine (Pulpit). The filly was bred by Highland Yard LLC, consigned by Brookdale Sales, Agent, and purchased by John Sondereker. She was the fifth highest price yearling purchased during the two-day sale.
Hip 472 at the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearling Showcase was a filly by WAR FRONT out of the Empire Maker mare Amazing Shoes. From the family of Grade 1 winners Bolt d’Oro, Global Campaign, and Zensational, the filly was purchased by Tom Drury, Agent for Cherry Valley Farm for $400,000 from the Claiborne Farm consignment.
Also fetching $400,000 was hip 11 at Keeneland September from the Lane’s End consignment – the first foal out of Grade 1 winner Weep No More. Courtlandt farm was the winning bidder on the WAR FRONT filly from the immediate family of Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner Flute.
