Coolmore said War Decree would point next for either the G2 Champagne Stakes or National Stakes at Sandown Park. The owners indicated that given War Decree’s pedigree, a trip to the United States is also a future possibility.
War Decree is the second foal out of the Street Cry mare Royal Decree and is a half brother to stakes-placed runner Noble Quality. His second dam is the dual grade I winning Royal Applause mare Ticker Tape.
War Front’s other juvenile offspring With Honors won a maiden event at Del Mar July 29, while Whitecliffsofdover and Leo Minor prevailed in respective maiden and allowance races at Naas Racecourse in Ireland Aug. 1.
