WAR DANCER Tops Louisville H.-G3

WAR DANCER notched his second Graded stakes win battling to the wire to take Churchill’s Louisville H.-G3. The 4-year-old colt by WAR FRONT sat close to the leaders early on between rivals in this 1 1/2-mile test on the turf. With about a 1/4 mile to go, WAR DANCERtook command, was headed with a furlong to go, then surged in front again near the wire to get the win by a head. In 2013, WAR DANCER made a late surge again to win the $500,000 Virginia Derby-G2 in a photo finish on the turf at Colonial Downs. Trained by Ken McPeek for Diamond M Stable, WAR DANCER, now with earnings of $541,717, was bred in Kentucky by Cherry Valley Farm and Stuart S. Janney and is out Deed I Do, by Alydeed.
