TWO IN A ROW FOR OAK MARSH

3-year-old colt OAK MARSH, by FIRST SAMURAI, got his second win in a row May 1st in a Calder Allowance race. OAK MARSH stalked the pace at the start of the one mile turf race. He got into trouble on the far turn but fanned wide in the stretch to take charge and win by 2 1/4-lengths. Previously, OAK MARSH broke his maiden April 15 at Gulfstream.

OAK MARSH was bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm LLC. A leading second crop sire in 2011, FIRST SAMURAI is already the sire of three stakes horses this year. Among them are wire-to-wire Rushaway S. winner SWIFT WARRIOR, winner of the Black Gold S. TRUBS, and multiple Graded-placed at Aqueduct JUSTIN PHILLIP.
