TAPIT IN THE HOLE Becomes TRAPPE SHOT’s Latest Winner at Churchill Downs

Making his second career start, TAPIT IN THE HOLE fended off the runner-up through most of the race to win a 4 1/2-furlong Maiden race at Churchill by 1 1/2 lengths. The 2-year-old colt from the first crop of TRAPPE SHOT vied for the lead from the break. He gained control by the first quarter mile and held off his nearest rival to earn the win. The first foal out of Fleet Special, by Afleet Alex, TAPIT IN THE HOLE was bred by Blackstone Farm LLC and is trained by Steve Asmussen for owner Richard L. Davis.
