Take My Picture Another Winner for DEMARCHELIER (GB)

It was a seventh winner of the year for DEMARCHELIER (GB) on Saturday when Take My Picture broke her maiden in a Sam Houston Maiden Special Weight over a mile on the turf.

Making her second career start, Take My Picture was second to last for much of the run, less than five lengths behind the leader in the tightly packed field. Confidently handled by Stewart Elliott, who kept her well in hand down the backstretch, Elliott let her move closer in the turn to sit just behind the leaders going into the final stage of the race.

Take My Picture showed determination to chase down the leader in the final furlong and was pulling away by the time the field hit the wire to win by half a length.

Trained by Jayde Geiner for Eric Archer and Hugh Moore, Take My Picture was bred by Eric and Randi Moreau-Sipiere.

She is out of the stakes winning Bluegrass Cat mare Free N Clear, who is a daughter of multiple stakes placed Mama I’m Home. The family also includes Grade 1 winner Romance Is Diane and Grade 2 winners Romanceishope, Badge of Silver, and Doinghardtimeagain.

DEMARCHELIER’s (GB) seven winners puts him in the top 10 by winners among all second crop sires this year with everyone above him having more runners.
