Sweet Victory (Blame) wins Honey Ryder Stakes

Sweet Victory, a 3-year-old daughter of Claiborne stallion Blame, won the Honey Ryder Stakes in impressive fashion May 7 at Gulfstream Park. The filly, owned by George Bolton and Peter Leidel, was a $285,000 purchase at Fasig-Tipton’s 2014 Saratoga Sale.

This was the second straight victory and third in five career starts for the Todd Pletcher-trained Sweet Victory.

Blame now has 5 stakes horses in 2016, including Exaggerated, winner of the $100,000 Giant’s Causeway Stakes at Keeneland April 16. The sire of 3 Graded Stakes Winners in 2015, Blame has sired 61 winners with total progeny earnings over $4.5-million.
