Multiple Graded stakes winner SUMMER FRONT became WAR FRONT’S fifth Millionaire with a runner-up finish in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile S.-G1 at Santa Anita. The always consistent competitor raced no more than four lengths off the lead until they reached the far turn. SUMMER FRONT angled out around the turn, bid four wide as they hit the top of the lane, took the lead in mid-stretch and battled to the wire finishing just a length off the win. He was making his first start since an on-the-board finish, beaten only two lengths, in the Breeders’ Cup Mile-G1. The seven-time stakes winner has won four Graded events, including the G2 Ft. Lauderdale S., and now has earnings of $1,074,140.
