Son of FIRST SAMURAI Co-fastest in Friday’s Breeze Show at OBS

HIP 1034, a colt by FIRST SAMURAI out of a juvenile stakes winner, put in a monster work for consignor Eddie Woods, agent on Friday’s session of the OBS Spring breeze show. The FIRST SAMURAI colt completed the 1/4 mile breeze in 20.2 seconds, the co-fastest of the day, and only bested by one other juvenile all week.

From the family of multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire Twice the Vice, he is the first registered foal out of juvenile stakes winner Flat Out Charming (Flatter). He will sell Friday, June 12 at OBS in Ocala, Florida, which will debut online bidding.

Another notable breeze for a FIRST SAMURAI juvenile at OBS Spring was HIP 788. The colt posted a 10 flat 1/8 mile breeze for consignor Grassroots Training and Sales.
Out of the Candy Ride (ARG) mare Betises de Cambrai, his third dam is the multiple Grade 1 winner Adored. HIP 788 will go through the OBS ring on Thursday, June 11.

The proven son of Giant’s Causeway, FIRST SAMURAI has sired of four millionaires including promising young sires Lea and Justin Phillip. FIRST SAMURAI ranks third amongst his crop by percentage of graded stakes winners, behind influential sires War Front and Bernardini.
