It’s been a good February at Meydan for FLATTER with the stallion’s Panadol romping home in his debut at Meydan on Saturday less than two weeks after Mouheeb won a Group 3 at the track.
Trained by Salem bin Ghadayer for Shiekh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the colt was starting his career by going a mile on the dirt.
Racing to the lead from the start, Panadol controlled the pace under Mickael Barzalona with his jockey not asking him for his best until they hit the stretch. Even then, Panadol was given a kind ride as the colt galloped away to a 7 ¾ length win.
Out of the Dixie Union mare Arradoul, the Chester and Mary Broman-bred is a half-brother to the stakes placed Backwood Bay and the dam of multiple stakes winner Celandine and Grade 3-placed J.S. Choice.
Arradoul herself is also a half-sister to stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Ender’s Sister, whose runners included multiple Grade 1 winner A.P. Indian and Grade 2 winner Tiz Shea D with 15 stakes performers under Panadol’s first two dams.
