Coming off a win in the seven-furlong Fury S. in late April, this 3-year-old filly from the second crop of FIRST SAMURAI rallied outside down the lane to finish less than a length back in the $500,000 Woodbine Oaks. Racing in mid-pack, NORTHERN PASSION had to angle out sharply at the top of the stretch, then put in a very game drive to the finish in this 1 1/8-mile event on the all weather. She races for John C. Oxley and is trained by Mark Casse and now has career earnings of $433,048.
