Mind Trappe (Trappe Shot) Romps in Career Debut

In his first career start, Mind Trappe drew plenty of attention with his smart debut at Arlington Park.

The 2-year-old Trappe Shot colt tracked the pace on the inside, snuck through on the rail at the quarter pole and took off from there, ultimately crossing the wire an eye-popping 7 ¼ lengths in front of his nearest competition.

Ignacio Correas trains Mind Trappe for I. C. Racing LLC. The bay colt is out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Sauvignon Girl.

Trappe Shot has sired eight stakes horses in 2017, including graded stakes winner Wild Shot. He stands for $7,500 at Claiborne.
