MASTERY’s Sensei Lawrence was a runaway maiden breaker on Friday with a six-length romp on the Gulfstream Park dirt.
The Auricchio and Jacobson/RaDon representative shot out of the gate going six panels and overcame some early trouble to take over the lead. Even with the trouble breaking his early momentum, Sensei Lawrence started pulling away around the turn and wasn’t for catching from there.
Millennium Condo was the only one to attempt the chase but even that one had no shot with Sensei Lawrence six lengths in front at the line and the third placed horse 7 ¼ lengths behind the winner.
Trained by Aubrey Maragh, the MASTERY son was bred in Kentucky by Gabriel Duignan, Circular Road Breeders, Crosshaven Bloodstock, and Petaluma.
