Flashy American, in-foal to Kentucky Derby winner ORB, brought a final bid of $395,000, the sales topper at the two-day Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The 7-year-old GSW/G1-placed mare, hip 426, was the talk of the sale. She was purchased by Blue Sky Stable out of the Taylor Made Sales Agency consignment. This follows up his strong showing in 2015 when ORB led all first year American sires by weanling average and median with three or more sold at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
