Kobe’s Back (Flatter) Wins G2 Palos Verdes in 1:08.70

Kobe’s Back posted an impressive come-from-behind victory in the Palos Verdes Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita, February 7th. The son of Claiborne Farm stallion, Flatter, completed the 6 furlongs in a blistering 1:08.70, pushing his career earnings to $772,250.

This was the 3rd Graded Stakes score of his career, adding to a resume that includes victories in the San Vicente (G2), also at Santa Anita, and the Commonwealth Stakes (G3) at Keeneland last Spring.

In addition to his Graded Stakes wins, Kobe’s Back has twice placed in Grade 1 events for trainer Peter Eurton. He was bred in Kentucky by Joanne Mummert and is owned by CRK Stable.

There are no definite plans as to where Kobe’s Back will race next, however, he has been given an invitation to participate in the $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-I) March 26 at Meydan.
