HORSE GREELEY 2YO WINS MSW DEBUT AT WOODBINE

Making his career debut in this six-furlong Maiden Special Weight at Woodbine, CLEARLY NOW proved best to win by 1 1/2 lengths. This first crop 2-year-old son of HORSE GREELEYbroke from the inside post and dueled on the front end in the early going. He took a short lead on the turn, disposed of an early challenger, then shook clear in the stretch and held off the runner-up, who was not making up any ground on the winner. Leading up to his first start,CLEARLY NOW put in two bullet works in his last six, including a 1:12 4/5 for six furlongs. Racing for Up Hill Stable and trained by Brian Lynch, this colt was bred by Claiborne Farm and is out of the Arch mare, Bend.
