HAKAMA PLACES IN PRIVATE TERM STAKES

HAKAMA, a 3-year-old colt by FIRST SAMURAI, came in second in the one mile Private Terms S. at Laurel Park Saturday. HAKAMA stalked the pace, circled the turn in the three path, gained a clear lead but was just caught at the wire.

HAKAMA lead wire-to-wire to break his maiden in December at Aqueduct over one mile and 70 yards. Out of the Unbridled mare Check, he was bred in Kentucky by Claiborne Farm, races for Harry and Tom Meyerhoff, and is trained by Michael J. Trombetta.
