Great Minds (Stroll – Staff Nurse by Arch) captured the $200,000 Texas Mile (G3) May 6 in a fierce stretch duel at Lone Star Park. The victory was his second stakes win of the year and the first Graded Stakes score of his career.
The Texas Mile was the third straight win for Great Minds, who won the Borgata Stakes at Delta Downs March 12.
Bred by Claiborne Farm and owned by Houston Texans nose tackle Vince Wilfork, Great Minds has now earned $283,898 under trainer Al Stall, Jr.
