GRADE 2-PLACED 3YO SCOTLAND DRAWS OFF BY 7

Having placed in the G3 Withers S. and the G2 Jerome S. in his two most recent starts, respectively, SCOTLAND outclassed this bunch to win going away by seven lengths. This 3-year-old colt by HORSE GREELEY, who was never more than a length back in the early stages, took control at the top of the stretch and was ridden out in this seven-furlong maiden special weight at Parx. In his first two career starts, he finished runner-up in Maiden Special Weights and has now won or placed in all five starts. At last year’s OBS April Spring Sale,SCOTLAND sold for $310,000, the third highest priced colt of the session. He worked a sparkling :33 1/5 for three furlongs, the second fastest time at the distance of the session. Bred in Kentucky by Trackside Farm and Chet Blackey, SCOTLAND races for Harvey Clarke, Paul Braverman and Team D and is trained by Anthony Dutrow.
