FLATTER 2YO Sells for $270,000 at Barretts Select

At the one-day Barretts Select 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, a filly by FLATTER brought a final bid of $270,000 from Frank Gallagher. Hip 86, a February 17th foal out of Shedoesrock, by Storm Boot, was the second highest priced filly in the sale and was bred in Kentucky by H. Allen Poindexter & Machmer Hall. The classy filly worked a furlong in a quick :10 flat on Preview Day, the second fastest time at the distance. “She’s been on everyone’s list and has been showing well. Physically she is hard to fault,” said Steve Venosa who consigned her to the sale.
