FIRST SAMURAI’S OAK MARSH NEWEST STAKES HORSE

OAK MARSH,  a 3-year-old filly from the first crop of FIRST SAMURAI, earned her first black type with a runner-up finish in the 1 1/16-mile Desert Vixen S. on the turf at Monmouth on July 24. Battling between foes in the early going, she swung out for the final drive and finished well to be 1 3/4 lengths in front of the third-place horse. The filly’s earlier victories this year include a maiden win at Gulfstream and a 2 3/4-length win going a mile on the turf at Calder. Bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm LLC, she races for Farnsworth Stables LLC and trained by Marty Wolfson.
