BEMATA Tight Runner-up in Second Stakes at Aqueduct

Making only his second stakes try, BEMATA rallied from last to finish runner-up, beaten just a nose, in Aqueduct’s 1 1/16-mile Stud Muffin S. The son of HORSE GREELEY has now finished first or second in three of four starts this year and has recorded career wins at Saratoga, Churchill, Belmont, Aqueduct, and Oaklawn. BEMATA was bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider out of the PULPIT mare Bema.

FOOTNOTE: His 3-year-old full brother CORT broke his maiden at Gulfstream last month by 8 1/2 lengths in his second career start.
