On the second night of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale, the only two individuals by ARCH in the sale brought some hefty prices. Hip 163, an April 30th foal out of Quickest, by Forest Wildcat, was purchased for $675,000 by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, Inc. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Vincent Colbert and consigned to the sale by Paramount Sales, agent. Hip 167, a March 29th foal out of Rate of Exchange, by Exchange Rate, went to Godolphin’s John Ferguson for $475,000. The colt was the property of Machmer Hall & Broken Back Farm and consigned by Select Sales, as agent. For the entire sale, ARCH was the third leading sire with an average of $575,000.
