Algorithms Filly Dominates in Debut at Fair Grounds

Minnie Blip, a 3-year-old daughter of Algorithms, powered to a dominating 7 ¼-length victory over Belle Star Park in her career debut, the eighth race at Fair Grounds March 23.

Sent off at odds of 8-1, Minnie Blip secured the lead following an exciting three-wide bid in the stretch and completed the six-furlong contest in 1:10.35.

Minnie Blip races as a homebred for E.H. Beau Lane III and is trained by Albert Stall Jr., who secured his third win of the day with the filly.

She is out of the Kafwain mare Zero Interest and is a half sister to the G2-placed Tale of Ekati filly Blip n’ The Bye. Zero Interest also has a yearling Fed Biz filly and was bred to Carpe Diem for 2018.

Algorithms, an undefeated graded stakes-winning son of Bernardini, was ranked #1 in his crop by Rate of Return. His 2016 yearlings averaged more than eight times his stud fee, bringing prices up to $220,000, while his 2-year-olds have fetched up to $180,000 at auction.
