FLATTER colt in high demand at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Fall Yearlings

The Bell Gable Stable went to $250,000 to secure an Maryland-bred FLATTER colt at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Fall Yearlings Sale in Timonium, Maryland – the second highest-priced yearling at the sale. The colt consigned by Northview Stallion Station (David Wade), agent is out of the More Than Ready mare, Apple Cider.

The mare – herself out of a multiple graded stakes winner – is half to graded stakes-placed and four-time stakes winner Giant Run, plus Introduced, who just added another stakes victory to her resumé in the Smart N Fancy Stakes at Saratoga.

“We did our due diligence and went to the sale for one horse and we got him,” Nick Beaver of Bell Gable Stable said reported Ron Mitchell of BloodHorse, “In this market, he’s probably a little bit more than I expected, but he was the one we came for and we weren’t leaving without him. We think he’s going to be a good horse.”
