WAR FRONT’s stakes winning daughter Bullet was popular with buyers, bringing $475,000 from Milburn Creek and Twin Palms Stud during the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
Offered by Taylor Made as part of the DJ Stable Curated Reduction sale, the filly won two stakes and was third in her four stakes attempts. A regally bred runner, it’s clear from looking at her family why she is a successful racehorse. She is out of a winning Tapit daughter of the champion Surfside, who produced stakes performers of her own.
Surfside is the dam of Grade 3 winner Irish Surf and stakes placed Shark, but her biggest successes come as a producer of producers. Among her daughters’ runners are Group 1 winner Zillzaal and Group 3 winner and Group 2 placed High Celebrity, who that one also producing stakes performers.
Bullet has an unnamed 2-year-old full sister as well.
A weanling filly by BLAME caught Tracy Farmer’s eye during the fourth session, bringing $300,000 to be the second most expensive weanling filly of the session.
A Claiborne-consigned offering, the February born filly is a full sister to BLAME’s stakes placed Blame the Frog. That runner is the best of six winners from six to race out of FIRST SAMURAI’s six-time winner One Fast Frog. Among One Fast Frog’s siblings are the Grade 3 winner Sky Alliance, stakes winners Classic Alliance and Prime Ruler, and the Grade 1-placed dam of Grade 1 winner and leading freshman sire Yaupon.
In all, this filly’s page boasts 12 stakes performers with six of them winning stakes.
This weanling purchase comes on the back of a yearling sale season that saw BLAME’s yearlings sell for up to $370,000 at Keeneland September in this ring two months ago.
