3YO SCOTLAND PLACES IN JEROME-G2 IN THIRD START

After finishing runner-up in his first two starts in Maiden Special Weight company, SCOTLANDstepped up to face winners and stakes horses and placed in the Jerome S.-G2 at Aqueduct. Racing one mile and 70 yards, this 3-year-old son of HORSE GREELEY was forced into another just after the break. Eager to run early, he finally settled, made a move in upper stretch to grab third. SCOTLAND was a $310,000 2-year-old colt at last year’s OBS April Spring Sale. The third highest priced colt of the session, he worked a sparkling :33 1/5 for three furlongs, the second fastest time at the distance of the session. Bred in Kentucky by Trackside Farm and Chet Blackey, SCOTLAND races for Harvey Clarke, Paul Braverman and Team D. He is trained by Anthony Dutrow.
