GIOVANNI BOLDINI became WAR FRONT’s sixth 2014 Graded stakes horse when he placed in the seven-furlong Jersey S.-G3 on the second day of the Royal Ascot meeting. Last year as a juvenile, the 3-year-old colt was runner-up in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf-G1, beaten only 1/2 length for the win, won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal S. by 4 3/4 lengths and placed in the G1 Goffs Vincent O’Brien National S. at the Curragh in only his second career start. A $675,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sales grad, GIOVANNI BOLDINI is out of the Old Trieste mare, Dancing Trieste, and was bred by Charles A. Woodson Jr. He races for Mrs. Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith and is trained by Aidan O’Brien.
