2YO AND 3YO STAKES HORSES OVER THE WEEKEND AT WOODBINE

GO GREELEY, a 2-year-old colt by HORSE GREELEY, finished runner-up, beaten a slight nose, in the $150,000 Clarendon S. Making only his second start, he closed five wide on the turn, then battled nose to nose with another the final sixteenth. In his debut, GO GREELEYrallied down the stretch to win impressively by 3 3/4 lengths, also at Woodbine.

Graded stakes-winning CLEARLY NOW, trying the turf for the first time, finished runner-up, beaten just a head in the one mile Charlie Barley S. The 3-year-old colt by HORSE GREELEYraced in midpack, put in a strong drive down the stretch to gain a 1/2-length lead and then just missed at the wire. This was his sixth straight stakes in which he has won or placed, including a victory in the Grade 3 Swale S. at Gulfstream Park and placings in the Woody Stephens S.-G2, Holy Bull S.-G3 and Bay Shore S.-G3. Claiborne-bred CLEARLY NOW has won or placed in all eight career starts, including three wins, and has earned over $328,000.
