ROCKET BALL, a 2-year-old son of Freshman sire HORSE GREELEY, rallied in the stretch to overhaul the frontrunner to take a six-furlong Maiden Special Weight by one length. Sitting about six lengths off the leaders through the opening half after breaking from post position six,ROCKET BALL began his determined closing kick in upper stretch and went by the leader in the final sixteenth for the win at Thistledown. In his previous start, he again closed down the stretch to be runner-up in a five-furlong Maiden Special Weight.
