A $100K BONUS WILL BE PAID OUT TO ANY OFFSPRING OF RUNHAPPY WHO WINS A MSW DURING THE 2020 SUMMER MEETS AT DEL MAR, KENTUCKY DOWNS, SARATOGA, & BELMONT
The Runhappy bonus program, which will reward owners of 2-year-olds by Claiborne Farm freshman sire Runhappy $100,000 for winning an unrestricted maiden race at select summer meets, has been extended to the corresponding races at the Belmont meeting, set to kick off the first week of June.
“We’re really excited about the New York Racing Association getting back up,” McIngvale said during Sunday’s ‘America’s Day at the Races’ program on FOX Sports. “Whenever the first races are for 2-year-olds at the Belmont spring/summer meet, we decided to extend the Runhappy $100,000 bonus. We were reserving for Saratoga, Del Mar and Kentucky Downs, but since Belmont got delayed, we wanted to add some excitement.”
Gallery Racing agrees to pay to the owner(s) of record of any Thoroughbred horse sired by the Thoroughbred stallion RUNHAPPY which wins a non-restricted maiden special weight race at Saratoga Race Course, Belmont Park, Del Mar Race Course and Kentucky Downs in the year 2020, and is not subsequently disqualified as the winner of such race, a one-time bonus per eligible horse of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00). Such bonus shall be paid by Gallery Racing directly to the owner(s) of record of such horse at the time of such race within sixty (60) days following the official conclusion of such race. If after the official conclusion of such race, it is subsequently determined that the winner is disqualified due to a medication disqualification, the applicable racetrack shall provide Gallery Racing with the name and contact information for the owner(s) of record at the time of such race of a new winner (if such new winner is also a Thoroughbred sired by RUNHAPPY) within three (3) business days following the determination of the medication disqualification and a new winner. In the event of a medication disqualification that would still necessitate the payment of the bonus, Gallery Racing agrees to pay such bonus directly to the owner(s) of record at the time of such race of a new winner within sixty (60) days following the official conclusion of such race, but not until such time as any previous bonus payment to the disqualified horse’s owner has been recovered by Gallery. For the avoidance of doubt, an eligible horse can only win such bonus once during the 2020 Saratoga, Del Mar, Belmont or Kentucky Downs Race Meets.
