$1.25 Million WAR FRONT Filly Tops Saratoga Sale

A filly by WAR FRONT topped the two-night session of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale fetching a final bid of $1,250,000 from Willis Horton with trainer D. Wayne Lukas signing the ticket on his behalf. Hip 150, a May 14th foal out of the Seeking the Gold mare, Charming, was bred in Kentucky by Charming Syndicate and consigned by Eaton Sales, agent. This filly is a half-sister to the 2-year-old filly Take Charge Brandi who was second in Saratoga’s recent Schuylerville S.-G3. The second dam is the multiple G1 SW and multiple G1 stakes producer Take Charge Lady.

 

In the first session of the sale, a WAR FRONT filly was purchased for $600,000 by Blandford Bloodstock Ltd. Hip 75, a January 21st foal out of GSW Santa Catarina, by Unbridled, was consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent.
