Three from WAR OF WILL’s first crop represent their sire at next week’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale on August 7 and 8.
The first is Hip 42 hailing from the Taylor Made consignment on behalf of DJ Stables. That colt is the second foal out of Excuses Begone, a daughter of multiple stakes winner Stopshoppingdebbie. This colt’s half-sister Faire Plaisir sold for $240,000 at this sale last year as the first foal out of the mare.
Hip 42’s third dam is the multiple stakes winner Taste The Passion, who also produced stakes winners Shampoo and Smarty Deb with both those mares producing stakes winners themselves.
The next WAR OF WILL though the ring is a half-brother to the Grade 2 winner and multiple Grade 1-placed Pappacap and Grade 3 winner Boppy O. Selling as Hip 124 through Summerfield, the colt’s dam is the Grade 3 placed Pappascat. That mare is one of two stakes performers out of the stakes placed Redmeansgo.
The stakes form continues under his third dam with his granddam a half-sister to Peruvian Horse of the Year Al Qasr and stakes winners Delicate Dynamite and Xaverian. Bred by Rustlewood Farm, this colt was foaled in Florida.
The final WAR OF WILL through the ring is Hip 133 out of Queen of Roses. Offered by St George Sales, her dam is a half-sister to stakes winners Im A Dixie Girl and First Ascent.
Im A Dixie Girl is the dam of multiple Grade 1 winner Mor Spirit while First Ascent is the granddam of stakes performer Buckey’s Charm and another half-sister is the dam of stakes placed Downwind.
This family is full of producers with multiple daughters of her first three dams producing stakes winners and their daughters following suit. A great-granddaughter of Sequins, the filly’s page also includes Grade 1 winners Great Hunter and Stellar Wind and multiple graded stakes winner Stellar Wind among others.
The Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale kicks off at 6:30p.m. on August 7 and starts at the same time on the 8th. The following week WAR OF WILL has three cataloged for the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Yearlings Sale on August 13 and 14.
