Three New First Crop Winners for BLAME

Recently, Champion BLAME was represented by three new first crop winners from England to California. His 3-year-old son BAYLAY comfortably won a 1 1/4-mile test by 2 1/4 lengths on the turf at Redcar. He was bred by Fred W. Hertrich III and John D. Fielding out of the Mineshaft mare Rock Candy, and races for Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum. The 3-year-old filly SWEET, a Claiborne Farm homebred out of the Horse Chestnut (SAf) mare Charming N Lovable, stalked the pace early on then rallied through the stretch to win this one mile Maiden Special Weight turf event at Santa Anita by 1/2 length. And another 3-year-old filly RAP rallied down the lane to win a six-furlong Maiden Special Weight by a neck on the dirt at Belterra Park. Bred by Dr. Naveed Chowhan out of Annihilation, by Northern Afleet, she is trained by Tom Drury, Jr. for owners Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider.
