SIXTH WINNER FOR FIRST SAMURAI

JUSTIN PHILLIP, who was second in his debut, became the sixth winner for his Freshman Sire FIRST SAMURAI with his victory in the 5th race at Belmont Park, a six furlong maiden special weight over the fast main track.

Tracking the leader from third, he moved strongly through the stretch to take over a furlong from home and draw away to win by nearly three lengths.

JUSTIN PHILLIP was bred in Kentucky by Overbrook Farm and he was produced by the Cryptoclearance mare, Ava Knowsthecode. He races for Zayat Stable LLC and he is trained by Steve Asmussen.
