Six Juveniles for SILVER STATE at Fasig-Tipton Midlantic

Six 2-year-olds by SILVER STATE are in Maryland this month to represent their sire in the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Old Sale, taking place on May 20.

Registering a furlong breeze just a tick off the bullet when stopping the clock in :10.2 was a SILVER STATE colt out of Qui selling as Hip 333 from Crane Thoroughbred Services.

Bred by Fred Hertrich and John Fielding, the colt’s only sibling of racing age is the winning Soy de Lee. They are out of the winning mare Qui, who is a three-quarter sister to stakes winner and Grade 2 placed Audrey’s Time and half-sister to Grade 1-placed Silverpocketsfull.

Their multiple stakes winning dam Unforgotten is one of three stakes performers out of the stakes placed Forgotten Secret alongside multiple stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Hot Storm and Grade 3-placed Heavenly Pride.

The first through the ring by SILVER STATE is Hip 81, a colt out of Dene Court who breezed in :10.3.

Consigned by Grassroots Training and Sales, the Four Pillars Holdings-bred is a half-brother to multiple Grade 2 placed Artemus Citylimits and Baladine, who registered updated earnings since the catalog was released. Their multiple stakes winning dam is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner Jacally and Grade 3-placed Theregoesjojo and has produced three winners from four runners herself.

Each of the colt’s first three dams have produced stakes performers with the fourth producing a stakes producer and the fifth producing multiple stakes winners.

A filly out of Getupbabygetup sells as Hip 141 after breezing in :10.3 during the Under Tack show.

The River Oak Farm-bred offered by Julie Davies is a half-sister to the winning Stipulate, whose earnings recently increased to $116,080, who is the only foal of racing age out of five-time winner Getupbabygetup. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes winning Malpais and two other winners out of the stakes placed El Corredor mare D’ Elegance.

That mare is one of six stakes performers out of her own dam with that group led by the Grade 3 winner Dancing With Ruth and track record-breaking stakes winner Brown Eyed Beauty. Each of Getupbabygetup’s first seven dams have produced stakes performers or producers with four doing both.

Offered by Navas Equine is Hip 111, a colt out of Fairywren bred by Nicholas Lotz.

This is the first foal for his winning Goldencents dam, who is a half-sister to Grade 3 winners Matt’s Broken Vow and High Button Shoes and stakes winner Victory Thrill with one of her winning half-sisters also the dam of stakes winner Ready For Romance. Ready For Romance provided an update on the page when her son Cali Cat was second in the John Shear Stakes on April 6.

Each of Fairywren’s first five dams have produced at least one stakes winner with five of her first six producing at least one stakes producer as well.

A SILVER STATE filly out of Forever Loyal consigned by Two Oaks Equine as Hip 134 saw an update when her 3-year-old half-sister won after the catalog was released to take her dam to three winners from four to race. A winning full sister to Grade 2 winner Sara Louise, Forever Loyal is also the dam of RUNHAPPY’s stakes placed Mischievous M.

Forever Loyal wasn’t the only broodmare whose runner gave the page an update recently. Her Grade 3 winning half-sister Just Louise was already a stakes producer as the dam of multiple Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed Forbidden Kingdom and followed that up last weekend with Forbidden Kingdom’s 2-year-old full sister Bibi Dahl finishing second in the Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies.

Bred by Ashview Farm and Colts Neck Stables, each of this filly’s first eight dams have produced at least one stakes performer. Seven of them have produced stakes winners, led by champion Crimson Satan.

The final SILVER STATE offering at this sale is Hip 386, a Sterling Thoroughbreds-offered daughter of Shotgun’s Star.

Bred by Cowboy Stables, the colt is a half-sister to two winners from three to race with his 3-year-old half-sister having updated earnings since the catalog was released. Shotgun’s Star is a half-sister to four winners out of Shotgun Jane, who produced three stakes performers among those. That group includes multiple Grade 3 winner Shotgun Kowboy and stakes winner Euro K Shotgun, who is also the dam of Grade 3 placed Here U Come Again.

This family has plenty of stakes form to back it up with the 26 stakes performers named on the page led by 12 stakes winners.

The one-session sale starts at 10am on Tuesday, May 20 and will be streamed live on Fasig-Tipton’s website.
