Four for BRIGHT FUTURE at Keeneland November

Grade 1 winning BRIGHT FUTURE hits another milestone in November when his first mares in foal sell at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale with four on offer.

His first to sell is Hip 2083, a mare offered by Grovendale Sales.

A three-time winner on the track, Joy of Treasure is carrying her third foal after foaling a Frosted yearling filly and Up to the Mark weanling filly. By Kitten’s Joy, Joy of Treasure proved to be a hard-knocking mare who won or placed in 12 of 30 starts for $208,442. She is out of the seven-time winner and five-time stakes winner Talking Treasure and is a half-sister to the dam of the stakes winning Betwithbothhands, who has eight wins.

Six of Joy of Treasure’s first seven dams have produced at least one stakes winner with only her dam not joining the trend, though she produced a stakes performer.

A 3-year-old out of Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Jeltrin sells as Hip 2625 with Taylor Made Sales carrying her first foal by BRIGHT FUTURE on a March 12 cover.

A daughter of Authentic, Rockbrook sees her dam as one of three stakes performers out of Song to the Moon, who also produced the stakes placed duo of Axiomo and Purple Heaven. A winner on the track, Song to the Moon is also a half-sister to Grade 2-placed Tap for Luck and to the dam of Grade 3 winner Creed’s Gold.

Those in the family also include Grade 3 winner Freefourracing, stakes winners Ready Racer, Ricadonna and Speedway, and the multiple Grade 2-placed Kamsack.

Rosary sells as Hip 2928 with Claiborne carrying a BRIGHT FUTURE foal on a March 24 cover after racing twice in 2025.

The mare is out of WAR FRONT’s daughter Length, who is a half-sister to BLAME’s stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Mucho and FIRST SAMURAI’s Grade 3 winner Size. Another BLAME half-sister is the dam of Grade 3-placed Space. Hailing from the family of successful broodmare Bound, Rosary’s dam is a granddaughter to Grade 3 winner Limit.  Limit produced stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Cease, stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Total, and Grade 3 placed Barrier with a daughter producing the stakes winning duo of Sower and Vast.

The aforementioned Bound is the dam of Grade 1 winner Archipenko and granddam of BLAME.

The final mare at the sale in foal to BRIGHT FUTURE is Skill, selling as Hip 2952 with Taylor Made.

That mare is the Liam’s Map 8-year-old Skill, whose second dam is Pacific Spell. Pacific Spell produced champion Proud Spell. Proud Spell produced stakes winner Indian Spell and stakes placed Etruscan with Indian Spell also the dam of stakes winner Dak Attack. Pacific Spell is also the dam of stakes winner No Distortion, Grade 3-placed Proud Pearl, and stakes winner Really Proud. Proud Pearl not only produced a stakes performer, but also produced the dam of a Grade 3 winner.

This mare’s extended family also includes champions Letruska and Miss Mischief and Grade 1 winners J P’s Gusto and Imaginary Lady.

The Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale takes place November 4 through 11.
