Claiborne Farm stallions MINDFRAME and JOHANNES have had their first mares reported in foal, both residing at farms in Central Kentucky.
Multiple Grade 1 winner MINDFRAME’s first mare in foal is Smart Strike daughter Put Together, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Feathered, herself the dam of Horse of the Year Flightline. Boarded at Hill ‘n’ Dale at Xalapa in Paris, Ky., Put Together is owned by Vinnie Viola’s St. Elias Stables, who also co-campaigned MINDFRAME during his on-track career.
MINDFRAME, a 5-year-old son of Constitution, earned over $2 million on the racetrack, highlighted by victories in the Stephen Foster Stakes (G1), Churchill Downs Stakes (G1), and Gulfstream Park Stakes (G2). He also finished second in the 2024 Belmont Stakes (G1).
Out of a stakes-winning daughter of Street Sense, MINDFRAME is a half-brother to stakes winner Hollywood Walk, from the family of Grade 2 winner Future is Now and recent Ozark Stakes winner Oscar’s Hope.
MINDFRAME stands his debut season at stud for an advertised fee of $50,000.
The BLAME mare Toni Marie became the first mare checked in foal to Grade 1 winner JOHANNES. This is the first mating for Toni Marie, who resides at Chesapeake Farm in Lexington, Ky., for owner Raymond Fischer.
JOHANNES, a 6-year-old by Nyquist, was a remarkably consistent runner, winning each season from ages two to five and earning more than $1.2 million. His six career graded stakes victories include the Shoemaker Mile (G1) and two editions of the City of Hope Mile Stakes (G2).
He is one of four winners from as many foals to race out of the stakes-placed Congrats mare Cuyathy, alongisde stakes winner Sea Dancer and stakes-placed Sea Runner. Canadian champions Nice Dancer and Pennyhill Park can be found in his extended family.
Johannes stands for an advertised fee of $10,000.
