The first through the ring for the dual surface Grade 1 winner is a filly out of stakes winner and multiple graded stakes performer Sisterhood. A $110,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase last season, the Ken and Sarah Ramsey-bred goes through the ring as Hip 49 with Gayle Woods.

Sisterhood is the dam of three winners from three to race, including the stakes winner and Grade 3-placed In The Mood with the mare’s 3-year-old Be My Sunshine breaking her maiden in January. This filly is bred on the same More Than Ready son x Kitten’s Joy daughter cross as stakes placed Artemus Bridge from six runners.

Bred by Ashview Farm, Hip 162 comes from the family of champion Jala Jala and is consigned by Flynt Fesmire.

The colt is the first foal out of the two-time winning Uncle Mo mare Ultimate Mo, a daughter of the multiple stakes placed Moon Buzz. Moon Buzz is a half-sister to the aforementioned Jala Jala and to the stakes winning Midnight Ballet. Each of the colt’s first six dams with racing age foals are all stakes producers with three of them also earning blacktype as well.

HIP 463

HIP 463 is a gelding out of the Afleet Alex mare Fast Alexia. His dam is a half sister to the multiple graded stakes winner Florida Won. Third dam Oatsee was broodmare of the year with Grade 1 winners Shackleford and Lady Joanne among her produce. Consigned by Blas Perez Stables, HIP 463 breezed 10 FLAT at the breeze show on Thursday.

Crossing Point South sends CATHOLIC BOY’s colt through the ring as Hip 302.

A $170,000 Keeneland September yearling from the Beau Lane breeding program, the colt is a half-brother to Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Sistas Stroll and FLATTER’s stakes winner Accredit. The colt’s dam Berncredit is a ninth-generation stakes producer with her dam also producing stakes winners Jake Mo and She’s All Scat with three of her daughters also producing stakes performers.

The first foal out of a winning Union Rags half-sister to Grade 1 winner Swift Temper, Hip 506 is consigned by Silvestre Chavez Thoroughbreds. Bred by Scott and Debbie Pierce and Dermot and Emma Quinn, the colt’s dam is also a half-sister to stakes winner Croisiere. Croisiere and another sister have both produced stakes performers with Croisiere’s stakes performers including the Grade 3 winning Masham Star.

This colt is bred on a similar cross to the Grade 3 winning Encanto Veloz and three-time stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Esplanande with both by More Than Ready sons and out of Dixie Union daughters.

A B Thoroughbreds consigns Hip 725, a CATHOLIC BOY filly out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Big World.

HIP 725

The first foal out of her winning dam, the filly’s family also includes multiple stakes winner Tensas Yucatan under her third dam. This is a strong producing family with his first nine dams with foals of racing age all producing stakes performers. Many of those dams also have stakes producing mares under their names as well. This cross is also a successful one with More Than Ready sons having two stakes performers from nine runners out of Tapit mares. More Than Ready himself also has a stakes performer out of a Tapit mare.

The Claiborne-bred Hip 781 goes through the ring as a member of the Blue Sapphire Stables consignment.

The colt is out of WAR FRONT’s winning daughter Profess. A daughter of the great mare Preach, Profess has been a successful broodmare as well with her BLAME daughter Lady Lawyer winning three races and a FLATTER daughter also winning from Profess’s three to race.

Profess is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner PULPIT, Grade 3 placed Urban Poet, and stakes placed Tell It. Four of Profess’s half-sisters are stakes performers with that group considering Orate – the dam of FIRST SAMURAIs stakes winning Endless Chatter and WAR FRONT’s stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Whitecliffsofdover.

CATHOLIC BOY’s first crop has been popular in the sales ring with his first yearlings selling for up to $300,000 last year.

The OBS March Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale Under Tack Show starts at 8a.m. every morning from March 14 to 17 with the sale taking place at 11a.m. each morning from March 20 to 22.
