BAFFLE ME Draws Clear to Win Gulfstream’s Powder Break S.

Finishing less than two lengths back of the win in the G2 Honey Fox S. in fourth last out, BAFFLE ME won her fifth stakes taking the Powder Break S. by 2 1/2 lengths. Making only her second start of the year, the daughter of FIRST SAMURAI stumbled at the start of this one mile turf event at Gulfstream after breaking from post eight. BAFFLE ME began her rally on the far turn going three wide, gained control of the race by mid-stretch and pulled away for a comfortable win. She has won stakes at distances from seven furlongs to 1 1/8 miles on turf at Belmont and Gulfstream Park and now has eight career wins and earnings of $521,196. Out of the Awesome Again mare Wonderously and bred in Kentucky by the Peter J. Callahan Revocable Trust Dated 2/28/02, BAFFLE ME races for Lee R. Lewis and is trained by Mark Hennig.
