ARCH’s BENT ON BOURBON Impressive in Iowa Derby-G3 Win

BENT ON BOURBON won his third straight race in five lifetime starts when he pulled away through the stretch to take the $250,000 Iowa Derby-G3 by three lengths. The 3-year-old colt by ARCH stalked the pace early after breaking from post eight against nine rivals going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Prairie Meadows. BENT ON BOURBON moved up to take the lead before they reached the top of the stretch and powered away for a strong finish. The Iowa Derby was his first try in stakes competition after Maiden Special Weight and Allowance wins at Churchill Downs. Bred by Northwest Farms LLC out of the Seeking the Gold mare Little Luxury, BENT ON BOURBON is trained by Eddie Kenneally for Bourbon Lane Stable. He becomes the 56th stakes winner and 32nd Graded winner for ARCH.
