After the first two days of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, WAR FRONT was far and away the leading covering sire. Topping Day 2 and the sale so far is hip 246, Aloof (Ire) in foal WAR FRONT. The Group-winning daughter of Galileo (Ire) out of Champion Airwave (GB) was purchased for $3.9 million by Mandy Pope’s Whisper Hill Farm out of the Paramount Sales consignment. Another Galileo (Ire) mare in foal to WAR FRONT, hip 382, was purchased by Don Alberto Farm for $1.8 million. Stakes-placed Precious Stone (Ire) Ire} who is out of Anna Karenina (Ire), by Green Desert, was consigned to the sale by Eaton Sales, agent. And,WAR FRONT’s graded stakes-winning daughter PEACE PRESERVER, who was bred by Cherry Valley Farm, sold for $1.9 million to Bridlewood Farm in foal to Galileo (Ire). After the first two sessions, WAR FRONT led all covering sires with four sold averaging $2.7 million.
