BLAME was represented at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale by a $200,000 colt out of successful broodmare Bayou Tortuga.
Purchased by Oracle Bloodstock as agent, the :10.3 breezer was consigned by Paul Sharp as agent after selling for $160,000 at the Keeneland September Sale. Bred by McCann Bloodstock, Mark Kelder, and Doug Richards, the colt is a half-brother to UAE Oaks (G3) winners Polar River and Down On Da Bayou and Grade 3-placed Rare Form from four winners.
Bayou Tortuga is a daughter of multiple stakes-placed Tortuga Band, who also produced stakes winners Tortuga Straits, Tortuga Flats, and Lightsnatcher.
Bayou Tortuga made a trip back to the Claiborne breeding shed last year, where she visited WAR OF WILL.
BLAME’s 2022 juvenile crop has been well received by buyers this year with the stallion also having a $225,000 colt go through the ring at OBS April.
