$600,000 TRAPPE SHOT Colt Tops KEESEP Session

In Book 2 of the Keeneland September Sales catalogue, a yearling colt by Freshman sireTRAPPE SHOT brought a final bid of $600,000 from Juddmonte Farms. Hip 982, Saturday’s session topper and the highest priced colt in the two days of Book 2, is out of the Deputy Minister mare, Winning Call, also the dam of G1 SW Tapizar, by Tapit. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Oak Ridge Farm & Fred Allor and consigned by Gainesway, agent. Also in Saturday’s session, another colt, hip 1129, sold for $385,000. He was bred in Kentucky by C. Kidder, N. Cole, J. K. & L. Griggs, consigned by Baccari Bloodstock, agent, and purchased by Crupi’s New Castle, J. J. Crupi, agent. TRAPPE SHOT is currently the Leading Freshman sire of sales yearlings averaging $183,931 with 29 sold.
