BLAME’s juvenile Crazy Frazy made a trip to the winner’s circle in his second start on Saturday with a Monmouth Park Maiden Special Weight victory for Lea Farms.
Trained by Jorge Delgado, the colt was quick out of the gate in the five-furlong dirt sprint and quickly entered into a duel. That battle would last throughout the race with neither Crazy Frazy or My Military Hero giving an inch until the final furlong.
That’s when Crazy Frazy started to pull ahead to put 1 ½ lengths between himself and the other runner at the line for his first career victory.
Bred by Charles Fipke, the colt is out of the winning Medaglia d’Oro mare D’Oro Paradise. The BLAME over Medaglia d’Oro mare cross has been a successful one, with four of the five runners bred on it winning at least one race.
BLAME’s 42 winners this year include three stakes winners and six stakes performers. The stallion is also the broodmare sire of six stakes winners – leading all North American broodmare sires in 2024.
